Samsung Galaxy S5 has some features which will let you using your phone in a specific condition, one of which is the flight mode or airplane mode. When the flight mode is enabled, the connection to your mobile service provider will be turned off so that you won't be able to send/receive any calls/messages or use data network features. Enabling the flight mode will also turn off your device's connectivity features, e.g: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi so that you have to turn these features on manually through the settings menu or on the notification panel when you want to use them.
