Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Adjust Sound Balance when Using a Headset in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

By default, your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge uses stereo audio as the sound output so you can hear the sound with two earphones. However, if you have certain hearing difficulty which makes your left ear hears better than your right ear or vice versa when using two earphones, or when you have trouble with your headset which makes it doesn't produce a balanced sound output, you can fix it by adjusting the left/right sound balance so you can hear the sound better and equally in both your ears when using headset.

How to adjust the sound balance when using a headset?
As the example, we'll do so by using two different methods: from the settings menu and from the direct access menu(it can be done if you have enabled the direct access feature).

Method #1: From the settings menu
  1. Connect a headset to your phone and wear it, then play a music in your phone.
  2. In any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap at the top right to go to the settings menu.
  3. Scroll down to the Personal section and then tap Accessibility.
  4. Tap Hearing.
  5. Drag the sound balance adjustment bar to the left or right to adjust the sound balance.

Method #2: From the direct access menu
  1. Connect a headset to your phone and wear it, then play a music in your phone.
  2. In any screen, press the Home key three times quickly to open up the direct access menu.
  3. In the direct access menu, tap Accessibility.
  4. Tap Hearing.
  5. Drag the sound balance adjustment bar to the left or right to adjust the sound balance.
