Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Use Priority Senders Feature in Messages App in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

If you often communicate with messages or receive a lot of messages every day, and have difficulty in finding messages from your important or favourite contacts, you can make it easier by adding those contacts to the priority senders list to have your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge places them at the top of the messages list in the Messages app so you can easily find them when needed.

How to add contacts to the priority senders list in the Messages app?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Messages app.
  2. Tap More at the top right and then tap Add priority senders(this option will be available if you have not added any contact yet to the priority senders list).
  3. Select the required contacts you want to add to the priority senders list and then tap Done button. FYI, you can add up to 25 contacts to the priority senders list and it'd better if you place the most important contacts at the top 5 position for easier access.
  4. The selected contacts have been added to the list and their contacts' icons will be displayed at the top of the messages list in the Messages app so you can easily find them when needed, e.g., sending a message, find a message from your important contact to forward it to another contact, etc.
  5. When you have added a contact to the list, you can easily add other contacts to the list by tapping at the end of the priority senders list and then select the required contacts you want to add to the list. If you have more than five contacts in the list, you have to swipe the list to the right to access this icon.

How to edit priority senders list in the Messages app?
You can remove or rearrange contacts in the priority senders list by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Messages app.
  2. Tap More at the top right and then select Edit priority senders(this option will be available if you have added a contact or some to the priority senders list).
  3. To remove unwanted contacts from the list, tap in the required contact's icon you want to remove. While to change a contact's position in the list, drag the required contact's icon to the other position. Tap Done button to save the changes. .
