Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Prevent the Screen from Accidentally Turning On while in a Dark Place in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

There's always a chance of your phone's screen being accidentally turned on and then open an app or perform certain action when you're carrying it in your pocket or bag. But, if you have updated your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, you can prevent your phone's screen from accidentally turning on while it's in a dark place by enabling the keep screen turned off feature.

How to enable the keep screen turned off feature?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
  2. Scroll down the screen to find Display and then tap it.
  3. Scroll the screen to the very bottom and then slide the ON/OFF switch next to Keep screen turned off to the right to enable it. The switch turns blue when it's enabled.
  4. Now, when your phone is in a dark place, e.g., pocket, bag, etc., and turned on accidentally, your phone will automatically turn off the screen to prevent unwanted access.
