Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: How to Enable and Use Review Pictures Feature in Camera App in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

If you often use your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to take pictures, you can enable the review pictures feature in the Camera app to have your phone provides you a preview of the pictures immediately after you take them so you can easily review it and then do the required actions, such as delete or share the picture. This will save you more time because you don't have to back and forth from the Camera app to the Gallery app each time you want to review your pictures.


How to enable or disable the review pictures feature in the Camera app?
You can turn on or off this feature by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Camera app.
  2. Tap to open the detailed settings.
  3. Scroll down the screen and then tap the ON/OFF switch next to Review pictures to enable or disable it. When the switch turns , means the review pictures feature is enabled and your phone will give you a preview of the pictures immediately after you take them.


How to use the review pictures feature in the Camera app?
As the example, we'll use this feature when taking a picture with the auto mode by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Camera app. By default, it uses the rear camera with the auto mode.
  2. Point the camera to the object.
  3. If needed, you can manually change the focus by tapping anywhere on the screen where the camera should focus.
  4. Tap to take a picture.
  5. A preview of the picture appears in pop-up to let you review it immediately after you take it. Here you can do the following actions:
    • Share the picture: If you'd like to immediately share the picture with your friend or family after you take it, tap Share in pop-up and then select the required share method you want to use with. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
    • Delete the picture: If you're not satisfied with the picture, you can immediately delete it so it won't take any space in your storage by tapping Delete in pop-up.
    • View the picture in Gallery app: You can tap the preview to view the picture in the Gallery app so you can take another actions for the picture, e.g., edit the picture, set the picture as wallpaper, etc.
