Incognito mode is one of feature available inside Browser app in Samsung Galaxy SIII. When you browse the web under the incognito mode, then the page won't appear in the browser history, the download files won't appear in the download history and the cookies will wiped out once you closed the page. Browse the page under this mode of course will help you if you want to access something important or a sensitive data without having to leave any trace.

How to get out from incognito mode?

  1. Open Browser app.
  2. If you're in incognito mode, tap the Thumbnails of active browser windows icon.
  3. Here you should see the plus (+) icon and the Incognito icon.
  4. Find the incognito tab that's open, then tap the Red minus button on the top right of the tab to get back to the regular mode.
  5. Tap the Bookmark icon .
  6. You can choose to tap either the History or Saved pages.
  7. Tap and hold an entry from the list to get the pop up menu.
  8. Tap Set as homepage to assign the selected entry as the new homepage.
  9. Now, try to close the app then open it again.
  10. The browser will load the new homepage in a regular mode.

  4. The incognito page will opened and explained in the screen. The page will marked with the incognito icon in the left of address bar.
  5. Now, you're ready to browse the webs by typing in the URL in the address bar to navigate the web you wish to visit. While you using this mode, all of the webs you open will no longer appear in the Browser history, the files downloaded will not record in the download histories and cookies will not be saved once you closed the page.
  6. To use the regular mode, tap Thumbnails of active browser windows icon and then select a web page which is not using the incognito feature.

By knowing how to use incognito feature, now you can make the browser app not to record your browsing activities which means you have no need to clear the browser cache and history manually as what you do when you use a regular mode. So, hope this helps :)

Messaging app is one of pre-installed apps on the Samsung Galaxy SIII which is presented to meet the user needs to send a message, either text or multimedia messages. Usually, when you get a new message you will get a notification in the status bar, and if you see the Messaging app icon in the Home screen, it will be marked with a certain number that indicates the number of unread messages. In certain case, some users experienced wrong display in their Messaging app icon. The Messaging app icon marked with number but when they open it there's no unread messages.


How to solve wrong display in Messaging app icon?
AFAIK, there are two possible ways to fix this problem. Here they are:
I. Disable the option Do not keep activities
The first methods is by checking the Do not keep activities option to see whether it's enabled. If so, you need to disable it by following the steps listed below:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Scroll down to Developer options, then tap it.
  3. Uncheck the checkbox next to the Do not keep activities option to disable this option.
  4. Now, restart the phone.
  5. Once the phone is waked up, the wrong displays on Messaging app icon should be fixed.

II. Remove the Messaging app icon then add it again
Yes, you can also fix this problem by removing the Messaging app icon and then add it again to your Home screen. Then the marked number in Messaging app icon should be removed.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Account and sync.
  3. Tap your Facebook account name you wish to sync its gallery.
  4. Tick the checkbox next to Sync Gallery option.
  5. Once the sync process is completed, you should see the album synced marked with Facebook logo on your Gallery.

Well, by doing this step, now you can view your Facebook albums and photos directly through your Gallery app. But, you should note that it will slow down the device during the sync process, especially if your Facebook account has lot of pictures to sync.

  7. Click the Sync button located at the bottom right corner to start exporting.
  8. Click Yes button to confirm exporting contacts.
  9. The app will count the number of contact being exported, if the number is correct then click the Yes button to finish exporting.

Import exported .csv file into Gmail contacts
  1. On your computer launch the web browser by clicking the browser icon on the desktop or access it through the Start button then all programs.
  2. On the browser address bar type gmail.com to navigate to Gmail and then sign in using your Google account associated with your device.
  3. On your Gmail, click Contacts.
  4. Click More.
  5. In the drop down menu select Import.
  6. Click Choose File to select the .csv file that you've just exported from your Blackberry.
  7. Click the Import button.
  8. Finish. Now, the .csv file has been imported into your Gmail contacts.
  9. Sign out from gmail.com

Sync Gmail contacts with the Samsung Galaxy S3
  1. On your Galaxy SIII, go to Apps through Home screen.
  2. Scroll to Settings, then tap on it.
  3. Tap Accounts and sync.
  4. Tap your Google account.
  5. Here you can choose what you would like to sync by ticking the checkbox next to the option or you can tick all the options displayed on your screen, then tap Sync now button to synchronize the contacts.
  6. Finish. Now your imported contacts Blackberry has been synced with your Galaxy SIII.
  7. If you have not activated your Google account on your phone, then you need to activate it first to allow your phone to sync your phone with your Gmail contacts.

  5. Tap Clear data button, and then tap OK button to confirm clearing the app data.

For the record, the second methods will only erase the history and once you use the Youtube app to search video then it will start to record your history again.
